Heroes Against Homelessness

A school non-uniform day with a twist

Calling all teachers: your pupils can make a difference to the community by taking part in Heroes Against Homelessness.

It's a charity non-uniform day with a twist. Pupils are sponsored to dress up as community heroes, learning how to be more thoughtful, active and caring citizens.

Heroes Against Homelessness is about:

  • Raising money to help people in need
  • Teaching pupils about homelessness (in an age appropriate way)
  • Making use of our free teaching resources.

The money raised helps Porchlight support homeless and vulnerable people across Kent.

An engaging session, highly relevant to children that I teach which challenged preconceptions they had of homeless people.
