You kept women safe by donating to our fund for homeless women

It’s a pot of money we use to help them as quickly as possible

Thank you for protecting 37 women from homelessness and domestic violence this past year by donating to our ‘rapid rehousing fund’.

It’s a pot of money we use to keep women who are homeless (or at risk of becoming so) safe. We do this because although homelessness is dangerous for everyone, women are at higher risk of violence, abuse and exploitation than their male counterparts.

Here are some of the ways your donations changed their lives:

  • Homeless women were put into hotels and B&Bs while more permanent housing was found for them.
  • Other women got professional support to challenge unfair evictions that would have left them on the streets.
  • Women escaping domestic violence had their locks changed, allowing them to feel safer.
  • Women who were rebuilding their lives after homelessness were given support with deposits and rent so they could move into homes of their own.
  • And women were helped to tackle problems specific to their situation, such as a fridge for a diabetic client to store medication and a triple pushchair for a mother who was unable to afford one.

We're so pleased to be able share this story but there are many more people who need help. If you're in a position to do so, please consider making a donation.
